The Science Center

(The beautiful, new 17 million dollar Science Center makes a superb choice for many types of meetings. Its range of facilities gives you the option of staging both large-group presentations and smaller breakout sessions in the same building, with a sunlit commons area for casual conversation between sessions.)

Conference guests will have access to using the new facilities on the south end of the building which, in the photograph above, includes the glass atrium and rooms to the left of it.

  • Atrium: serves as a light, airy gathering and commons area. With a unique suspended dichroic glass sculpture serving as its centerpiece, the atrium also makes a dramatic backdrop for receptions, registration, a refreshment area, and other meeting functions.

  • Flory Auditorium: offers stadium-style seating for up to 150 people, which makes it ideal for larger group seminars or workshops. The auditorium is outfitted with the latest technology, including 3 digital projectors controlled by an AMX control unit with a matrix switcher, which allows the projectors to display the same image or images from separate sources.

  • Seminar Rooms 1 and 2: on the ground floor are two rooms that offer a variety of set-up options and can seat 40 to 50 persons each.  Ideal rooms for break out sessions, lectures, or workshops.

  • Classrooms 1 and 2 : on each side of Flory Auditorium can seat up to 40 to 45 persons each for group classrooms and workshops.

  • Lecture Rooms 1 and 2 : on the ground floor are two lecture rooms.  These break-out rooms hold 10-15 persons each and can be used for break out sessions or small group meetings.
