CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE TEXTBOOK RETURN POLICY!

PLEASE READ!

THE FALL 2008 BOOKLIST WILL BE AVAILABLE MID-AUGUST

Prices and Books are subject to change!

Textbooks are not available for purchase online. Information about class specific textbooks will not be given over the phone. However, a text list* is available for viewing online in both Adobe.pdf** or Excel.xls format and at the store two weeks before classes begin. Students may begin to purchase textbooks approximately three weeks before the start of each semester. Simply bring your course schedule to the Campus Store and the staff will assist you.  There is a possibility that not all texts will be available this early.  Payment methods accepted by the Manchester College Campus Store include cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, traveler's checks, money orders, or Manchester College Campus Store gift certificates.

Special order textbooks must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable.

A book buy-back is held during finals week of the fall and spring semester during which students can return books for cash. Students may only recieve a portion of the initial cost of the book, and books that are outdated or severely damaged are not eligible for buy-back.

*Text and prices are subject to change.

**The text list available in Adobe .pdf requires Adobe Acrobat. If you don't already have Acrobat installed, you can download it here.

Textbook Return Policy

1. SAVE ALL SALES RECIEPTS!  Customer must have M.C. Campus Store register receipt, NO EXCEPTIONS.

The need for a receipt is to protect your investment from becoming someone else's reward. It is not an arbitrary policy to make you miserable.

2. Cash refunds will be given only for cash. For checks, refund vouchers will be given for purchases made by check after a seven day period. Purchases made by credit card will be refunded to the credit card used with the purchase, same goes for purchases applied to a student account.

3. Textbooks may NOT be returned or exchanged:

  • If the plastic shrink wrap has been opened or removed (when applicable)
  • If the textbook has been damaged in any way
  • If the accompanying CD or study aids are missing from the text package
  • If the textbook is not in same condition as when purchased
  • If the corners of the paperback books are bent or torn in any way
  • If they are course notes/materials
  • If the textbook has been highlighted or written in (only applicable to new textbooks)
  • If after the second week of the Fall or Spring terms, or after the first day of January and Summer sessions
  • If the textbook is special order

NEW!! Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee will be charged for all returned textbooks unless accompanied by your new registration data (new schedule) showing the course has beendropped.

4. Refunds and exchanges:

  • First and second week of fall or spring semesters: 100%
  • NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES AFTER THE SECOND WEEK of fall or spring semesters (or after the third day of January and summer sessions)

5. We reserve the right to refuse refunds if the return does not meet the standards listed in our store policy.

6. Used textbooks are priority, if available, unless new textbooks are specifically requested.

The Campus Store attempts to find as many used books as possible, because we know textbooks are expensive. We have no control in the frequency of edition changes. Publishers decide this; therefore used books may not be available for certain classes.
