• American Association of Museums - offers a small database of jobs for those interested in museum careers.

• American Association for State and Local History - job opportunities with historical societies, small museums and other historical associations.

• Be sure to check the web sites of the federal agencies that hire historians, including the National Park Service, the Department of State Office of the Historian, and the Senate Historical Office.  The Society for History in the Federal Government is a valuable resource for information and employment listings.

• National Council on Public History- careers and training for those interested in becoming public historian
