The Manchester College Intercultural Center continues the tradition of the AAFRO House, a facility established in 1970 to meet the social needs of ethnic minority students. The House was established in response to racial tensions and hostilities on campus, and the space was designated as a safe haven for ethnic minority students to provide a place they could call their own. |
