First Brethren Church
The First Brethren Church of North Manchester is not only a place of worship and reverence, it also hosts many opportunities that may need help of Manchester college Volunteers.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Club DeNinos: Kids club meets every Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Kids meet for songs, stories, crafts, snacks, and games while their parents are in English as a Second Language classes (ESL). In most cases, children don't speak English as their first language either, so the ability to speak Spanish is not a requirement, but it is definitely helpful! One or two assistants are needed to help the leader each week. There are usually ten-twenty kids in attendance between the ages of diapers-6th grade.
