Manchester Exhibits 'Weird' Science Practices
Manchester natural science professors are using unique experiments and activities to spur student interest and bring the textbooks to life.
Several professors in the science and mathematics departments at Manchester College are trying to get their students more interested and more involved by performing experiments that differ from the “beaker and tube” normality. Some are more standard than others, but all get the students involved and evoke notions of real-life scenarios.

Sexual Assault Survivor Presents At Convo

On Tue. March 9, Michelle Corrao, an advocate for ending sexual assault, visited Manchester College and hosted a VIA event in Cordier auditorium. The event, sponsored by Manchester Counseling Services, was planned after staff members attended one of Corrao’s presentations in Fort Wayne at the Fort Wayne Police Academy in October.

Debra Marquart To Visit MC Campus March 17

On Wednesday, March 17, 2010, poet, author and musician Debra Marquart will be giving two presentations at MC.
The first is a writing workshop in the Hoff Room of the Union from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The second is a reading from her memoir, “The Horizontal World,” beginning at 7:30 in Wine Recital Hall. This reading will receive VIA credit. Both events are co-sponsored by Gener Studies and the Department of English.

Throughout the 2009/2010 season the Manchester College wrestlers consistently proved just how tough they were. An extremely young team combined with an abnormal amount of injuries usually leads to disaster, but not for this team. Perseverance and hard work helped this team to learn and grow and also put up some good numbers while they were at it.
