The Manchester Activities Council has been preparing for another edition of the annual Little Siblings Weekend, April 4-5.

Lil Sibs Weekend is a time for Manchester College students to spend time with younger siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins, participating in activities hosted by MAC. Activities, aimed at children 5 to 12 years of age, will include movies, bowling, swimming and games, among others.

Registration will begin at 5 p.m. and last until 7 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the Oakwood Greatroom. After registering, students and their guests can participate in crafts and have a picture taken until 8 p.m. If that does not seem physical enough, participants are invited to go bowling at Oak Park Lanes in North Manchester and/or swimming at the North Manchester community pool. These activities will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Guests and their hosts will have another chance to bowl and/or swim Saturday morning from 9 to 11:30 a.m. After a break for lunch, MC’s Physical Education and Recreation Center will host a plethora of games, inflatables, and other activities from 1 to 5 p.m. Starting at 5 p.m., students and guests will be entertained by magician Matt Kalita, father of MC sophomore Kaz Kalita. After an hour of magic and illusion, little siblings and big siblings will have to decide between two classic kids’ movies in “Pick Your Flick” at 6 p.m. “Jumanji” (PG), starring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst will be shown in the Helman Greatroom, while “Recess: School’s Out” (G), featuring the voice talents of Melissa Joan Hart and James Woods, will be shown in the Oakwood Greatroom. The films will wrap up what MAC hopes will be another successful Lil Sibs Weekend.
