Zuber Tops Among Collegiate Art Show

A painting by Allie Zuber, Manchester College junior, was selected from a large group of local college artists to be displayed at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s college night exhibition. The oil painting of a lantern and glass bottle, titled “Still Life #3”, is now on display in the Wine Recital Hall.

It is obvious to those of us who were here last year that enrollment at the college has increased tremendously with the large first-year class. Next year we are anticipating an incoming class that is just as big, if not bigger. Good news? Not necessarily. The number of students enrolling in Manchester College might be rising, but the number of those students who participate in our various clubs and organizations is slowly killing our extracurricular activities.

MC to get a Full Frontal View of Feminism

Manchester College will host feminist author and blogger Jessica Valenti for VIA credit Monday, April 20, at 10 a.m. in Wine Recital Hall, followed by a book-signing in the Campus Store. Valenti will discuss the still-present societal inequalities between women and men with particular emphasis on how this topic is relevant to college students, regardless of gender.
