Where were our Pathways students this summer?
Brittany Betz
Brittany spent her summer with La Puente Home located in Alamosa, CO. La Puente Home provides services to homeless and impoverished populations of the San Luis Valley, by offering shelter, meals, assistance with rent and utilities. (www.lapuente.net)
Brandon Fancher
Brandon worked at the Comfort House in McAllen, TX. Comfort House is a hospice for terminally ill patients. Staff and volunteers provide residents with companionship, medication, and end stage care.
Cassie Franks
Cassie participated in the Pathways summer service program last year (at Tri-City Homeless Shelter) and this summer moved to the second level of Pathways by utilizing an imagination grant. She spent her summer in Togo, Africa with the organization Echoppe which provides small loans to women - single mothers or others- for a duration of 4 to 5 years to reinforce their small business. Jennifer Lane
Jennifer worked with the Tri-City Homeless Shelter in
Fremont, CA. Tri-City Homeless Shelter
assists low-income, un-housed people to secure stable, supportive

Barbara Simpkins
Barbara
worked with Alderson Hospitality House in Alderson, WV this
summer. Alderson Hospitality House serves to house families when
they are visiting their loved ones at the local Women's Prison.

Zach VanWinkle

Zach spent his summer with Su Casa Catholic Worker House in Chicago, IL. Su Casa is a house of hospitality in the Catholic worker tradition that provides a space of healing and hope to displaced Hispanic families. (www.sucasacatholicworker.blogspot.com)
