Resident Assistant (RA) Selection

What is an RA?

Would you like to be an RA? Do you think you have what it takes? The Office of Residential Life needs qualified, responsible, energetic students to be leaders in their residence halls for the 2008-09 school year. Being an RA comes with many benefits along with a lot of responsibility, and only the best-qualified candidates are chosen.

Are you RA material?

The first step you will need to take is to apply online through the

Human Resources website

Once you have applied for the position through the HR website you will need to click on these links to download an Application and an RA Candidate Reference Form, and follow the timeline below to begin the application process.

If you are a New Candidate, click on the following links for the application and reference form.

If you are a returning RA, click on the following link for an application.

Return completed applications to Nick Marinello, director of Helman Hall, via e-mail or drop them off in his box in the Office of Residential Life, second floor of Calvin Ulrey Hall.

RA Selection Timeline

Feb. 24: Prospective Staff Night, 7 p.m. (Flory Auditorium)

Feb. 25: Prospective Staff Night, 7 p.m. (Flory Auditorium)

March 14: New RA applications due

March 24: Returnee RA applications due

March 28: Group Process Day, 6-9 p.m. (Science Center)

March 29: Group Process Day, 9-noon (Science Center)

March 30: RA candidate interviews, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

April 2: Positions offered

April 7: Acceptance letters due to the Res. Life office by noon.
