Emergency Evacuation Plan
Emergency situations frequently necessitate the evacuation of students, staff, and faculty to safe areas. Different emergencies call for different degrees of evacuation. During a tornado warning, community members are asked to move to safe shelters on the lowest level of the building they are in. During fires, fire alarms, bomb threats, or chemical spills, total evacuation of the building is necessary; and we ask that, as people exit, they move away from the building to the pre-designated safe area. Campus Safety will initiate the emergency evacuation plan, once the threat/emergency is confirmed. The purpose of this plan is to identify those evacuation safe areas. The below list indicates the evacuation points where people should rendezvous and await further instructions. For further information about chemical spills, fire and weather emergencies, or bomb threat procedures, refer to the respective emergency plan.
