EEL RIVER CLEAN UP: Making a Change for Tomorrow
On Saturday September 14, 2013 over 45 brave volunteers showed up for the 4th Annual Middle Eel River Watershed Initiative River Clean-Up. The location of the river clean-up changed this year. In previous years it began at the covered bridge and finished at the waste water treatment plant. Whereas this year’s clean up took place between market street bridge, located in North Manchester, and went downstream roughly one mile to the old dam location. In that mile there was enough metal, tires, and garbage to fill three dump trucks full. Once the clean-up was complete a fabulous lunch was provided by the North Manchester Rotary. A huge thank you would like to be given to all the volunteers and the rotary club for all their support and look forward to seeing everybody next year for the 5th Annual Clean-Up!!!!!!
