Manchester College students studying biology or environmental studies get plenty of hands-on opportunities, both on and off campus. They gain practical experience in areas that matter in the real world. Examples include:
Biodiesel fuel conversion
Students built an "Appleseed reactor" to recycle discarded vegetable oil from the College's dining service into biodiesel fuel used to power College lawnmowers, leaf blowers and some vehicles. Read more >

A visit to a dairy farm Students in Introduction to Environmental studies took a field trip to a local dairy farm. This experience was a first for many.
