SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS
Children's Theatre
Dr. Strode has also taken the concept of community connections abroad. In the spring of 2005, he directed David Holman’s “Peacemaker,” a play for child audiences, in Pristina, Kosovo. Since that time, the play has been performed in Pristina, on tour in Kosovo, and in Albania.

Conflict Resolution
Dr. Lahman's students in Intercultural Communication prepared and presented conflict resolution curriculum to first and second grade students at Manchester Elementary in a program entitled Let's Talk It Out.

PR in the Community
Poker and pizza with the police.

Creative Dramatics
Dr. Strode’s Creative Dramatics class visits Manchester Elementary School each semester to provide students in the class an opportunity to lead elementary children in creative dramatics activities. The class also visits Peabody Retirement Community so college students interested in gerontology can lead residents in creative dramatics activities.

Video Production
Students enrolled in Advanced Video Production classes videotaped and edited a corporate training video for Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester, Ind. (spring semester 2003); and a corporate promotional video for Vernon Manor Children Home in Wabash, Ind. (spring semester 2005).
