The EARLY LEARNERS project proposes to improve readiness in preschoolers in Wabash County through a collaborative, research based emergent literacy program.  Here are some helpful links you may want to explore:

International Reading Association

For 50 years, the International Reading Association has been a professional home for those who help others learn to read. Today, our network and resources reach hundreds of thousands of teachers, researchers, students, administrators, tutors, parents, and others—in every part of the world.

National Association for the Education of Young Children

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high performing and inclusive organization.

Indiana Department of Education

The Division of Prime Time  is a division of  The Indiana Department of Education.  It employs a small staff within the Center for School Improvement and Performance. Over the past years, the Prime Time staff has provided technical assistance pertaining to developmentally appropriate classroom practice, education legislation, and Department initiatives designed to improve student learning.
