Twelve Manchester students earned the Manchester University Certificate in Innovation in 2013. Their final projects offered solutions to problems, or opportunities, recognized by themselves in their various real work environments. Examples include -
A low cost solution to flagging ticket sales and fan spirit at a Northeast Indiana high school athletic program.
A guerrilla marketing campaign that was successfully implemented to introduce a thrift store line of clothing to cash strapped college students while increasing profit margins for a small nonprofit organization.
A recycling solution for the University that improved sustainability while reducing workload and improving campus safety that was proposed for action.
A high school tutoring program improvement that improved access to rural bus riding students while utilizing unused study hall time.
One plan proposed an innovative change to an existing company's business model. It resulted in a post graduation job offer for this senior student that he accepted. He created his own job. That's entrepreneurial!
