The mission of the undergraduate program in psychology at Manchester University is to educate students in the basic theories of psychology, train them in critical thinking and research skills, and provide practical experiences where they can apply their knowledge. In this way we can prepare our majors for either:

  • graduate studies in areas such as clinical, educational, and counseling psychology, as well neuro-psychology, social work, and law

  • bachelor-level work in areas such as mental health, social services, education, and business.

We are also instrumental in providing for the general education of all students. It is our goal to provide students with the experiences and training that will help them lead principled, productive, and compassionate lives.
