Manchester University Graduate Programs

Master of Education (M.Ed.)
The Master of Education degree will equip professional educators with practical professional development and training, especially in best practices and the implementation of those practices at the classroom, school and/or corporation level.

Master’s degree candidates will expand their understanding of the dynamics of collaboration and reflective teaching, and the ability to effectively apply action research and assessment strategies.

Master of Athletic Training (MAT)
The Master of Athletic Training degree prepares students to become Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC^®). The MAT program is “entry-level,” designed for students with minimal knowledge and experience in athletic training and who did not major in athletic training as undergraduates. Graduates of CAATE*-approved programs are not eligible for admission.

Upon successful completion of all clinical and didactic components of the MAT program, students are eligible to take the Board of Certification (BOC) examination in athletic training.** Passing the BOC examination leads to awarding of the credential ATC®.

** The Manchester University Master of Athletic Training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Only graduates of CAATE-accredited programs are eligible to take the BOC examination.

Manchester University Professional Programs

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Manchester is accepting applications for this four-year doctoral program that leads to the awarding of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.). The University’s inaugural class of 70 students will be enrolled in fall 2012. Applicants for admission should successfully meet pre-pharmacy curriculum and GPA requirements.

Manchester College President Jo Young Switzer Manchester University is excited to offer new graduate programs in education and athletic training. In addition, the University is now accepting applications from students seeking a doctoral pharmacy degree.

Our Master of Education program provides professional educators opportunity for continuous improvement of their teaching. The coursework is taught by professionals with strong academic credentials as well as experience in K-12 teaching.

Our entry-level Master of Athletic Training program opens doors for students to become certification-eligible in this dynamic allied health care profession even when they did not major in athletic training as undergraduates.

We have enrolled our first Doctor of Pharmacy candidates in our College of Pharmacy. That campus is located in Fort Wayne, providing northern Indiana with its first pharmacy school.
