Educational Background

International applicants must be able to read, write, and speak rapid idiomatic English. A score of 550 or above on the written TOEFL or 213 on the computer TOEFL is required of all students whose native language or language of instruction is not English. For students whose language of instruction is English, the SAT I exam (including the writing portion for fall 2006) is required unless a high level of competency is proven by A level exams. Students from non-English speaking countries will be required to prove English competency at the U.S. Consulate when applying for a visa.

If you plan to transfer credit for courses taken at another university, your university transcript must be evaluated by a credential evaluator approved by Manchester College. The evaluation must be done before credits can be transferred, and not all credits will automatically transfer. The evaluation will cost about U.S. $150.00, and you will need to make arrangements directly with the credential evaluation service.
