
10.27.07-MC FALLS TO TRANSY 2-1, SETS SIGHTS ON HCAC CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
Manchester's men's soccer team fell to Transylvania 2-1 in the final game of the regular season on Saturday. The win gives Transy the HCAC regular season conference title with a 7-0-1 record while Manchester places third overall with a 5-2-1 record.
Transy scored in the 38th minute of play to take a 1-0 lead into the half. Manchester's Pepo Villalba scored his ninth goal of the year on a header assisted by Elie Francois to tie the game at the 67th minute. Transy's Ryan Dale scored on a direct kick with four minutes remaining to give Transy the 2-1 win.
Manchester will travel to Rose-Hulman on Tuesday for the semi-final game of the HCAC Conference Tournament. Both teams ended in a 2-2 tie back on Sept. 29.
