Student Employment
Federal Work Study is a need-based award and will appear on your Award letter if you are eligible. Students usually work six to eight hours a week in campus libraries, dining halls, or in academic and administrative departments. Paychecks are issued every two weeks, and students generally pay for personal expenses and books with their Work Study earnings.
Regular student employment is available to students who did not apply for financial aid or who did not qualify for Federal Work Study.
The forms
Prior to working on campus, the federal I-9 form, as well as federal, state and local municipal W-4 forms must be completed and on file. Once these documents are complete, you do not need to fill them out again.
The paychecks
All students complete time cards and are paid for the hours worked during that pay period.
