At Manchester University, we do everything possible to make sure a Manchester education is never out of the reach of students. That’s why 100 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid from a variety of sources. In 2010-2011, the average need-based financial aid package was approximately $24,058. That's money students don't have to pay back!
Manchester invests more than $3 million in awards to each incoming class which include academic scholarships, scholarships recognizing special abilities, and need-based grants.
Many students also take out loans, and/or work during the summer and on campus. But keep in mind that our graduates leave owing about $5,000 less than the average private college graduate does.
To determine your eligibility for financial aid, you need to complete and submit the U.S. Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and designate Manchester University as one of your FAFSA recipients. Our federal school code is 001820. Federal laws are very strict when it comes to income reporting accuracy, so you and your parents may be notified to submit completed signed copies of your family's most recent federal income tax returns to verify data on the FAFSA.
How to apply for Federal Parent and Student loans:
- Complete PLUS loan pre-approval and sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Complete Federal Direct Loan Entrance Counseling
- Sign your Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Calculate your loan payment
