05.05.07-SPARTANS TAKE THIRD AT CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Manchester's men's golf team fired a 303 in the final day of competition at the HCAC Conference Championships on Saturday to finish third place overall with a 1298 in the four-day event. 

Manchester dropped to fourth place by one stroke after Friday's third round, but fired the second best team score of the day on Saturday to bump back up to third place. 

Scott Bucher earned All-Conference honors for Manchester shooting a 308 and placed sixth in the individual standings.  Josh Murphy was 16th with a 329, Brent Forbes-Murray was 23rd with a 333, Matt Sarber as 24th with a 335 and Brandon Gerlach fired a 348 and placed 28th overall.

04.28.07-MANCHESTER IN THIRD AFTER FIRST ROUNDS OF HCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Manchester's men's golf team is in third place following the first rounds of the HCAC Championships hosted by Transylvania University.  Manchester will complete the second round of action at Anderson this coming weekend. 

Franklin is in first with a 627 team score, followed by Transylvania in second with a 637.  Manchester sits in third place with a 678 while Rose-Hulman is in fourth with a 685.

Scott Bucher paced Manchester with a pair of 80's and is currently tied for sixth place.  Josh Murphy is tied for 14th with an 87-83/170.  Matt Sarber and Brent Forbes-Murray are in 23rd place with a 174 and Brandon Gerlach is in 32nd place with a 185.

03.31.07-SPARTANS TAKE THIRD AT MC INVITE
Manchester's men's golf team took third out of seven teams at the 2007 Manchester Invitational, hosted by Honeywell Golf Course. 

Franklin took team honors with a 625, one stroke over second place finisher Huntington, who fired a team score of 626.  Manchester had a score of 635 for their third place finish. 

Scott Bucher finished fifth overall with an 80-75/155 in the one-day, 36-hole tournament.  Brent Forbes-Murphy tied for sixth with a 75-81/156, Matt Sarber tied for ninth with a 79-81/160, and Josh Murphy placed 17th with an 84-80/164. 

Manchester travels to the Anderson Invite on Sunday and Monday.
