Coach Yoder has had the opportunity to work with 44 national qualifiers, 18 All-Americans and 34 Academic All-Americans in his 17 years of coaching both cross country and track and field at Manchester College. Yoder's fourth place finish in 1991 and seventh place finish in 1997 at the U. S. National Marathon Championships, and countless age group wins at many road races have established him as an accomplished master athlete.
With his experience and guidance, the distance programs have gained conference, state, and national recognition. Yoder is a graduate of Goshen College. He earned a Master of Social Work from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. He is a professor of sociology and social work at MC.
