Mathematics Placement Exam
All students who have not earned college-level credit in mathematics are required to complete this placement exam.
This exams is intended to place you at the proper level of mathematics. We want you to be challenged, but not overwhelmed; relaxed, but not bored.
The exam has 50 questions with easier questions at the beginning and harder at the end. You may use unlimited time but the exam typically takes less than 75 minutes. Take the exam at a time and location where you will be able to concentrate.
To assess your level most accurately, please do not use a calculator or assistance from others. You will need a pencil and some paper to do calculations.
Before you begin the placement examination, please provide the following information; it will help us determine your placement.

(If you have attended college since graduating from high school, please substitute the college information for the high school information.)

Standardized math score
If you know it, please give either your SAT Math score (a number between 200 and 800) or your ACT Math score (a number between 1 and 36).

(For a course taken within the last year, count it as 0 years ago. If you cannot remember your grade, give us a typical grade you received in mathematics courses.)
