Going to college was the first time I’d truly been away from my family, but it didn’t take long to feel at home on campus. There are so many people who care about you that you make friends immediately. Meeting new people—different people—is amazing. I’ve already spent a semester abroad, and I share a room with someone who lives halfway around the globe. It’s incredible. And no matter what, the people are here for you. Just like a family. Your family.
