| The National Index of Violence and Harm was developed by a team of researchers at Manchester College. The goals of this project are to quantify levels of violence and harm done to people in the United States and identify trends over time. The initial version of the Index, spanning the years 1995-98, was released in December, 2000. The following links provide details on the construction of the Index and findings from the 2000 release. |
