Why attend MU: I decided to attend Manchester because of the small class size, a completely different atmosphere than my huge high school, and the fact Manchester is close enough to home, yet far enough to gain the independence I wanted.
Favorite thing: My favorite thing about Manchester is the relationships I have built with my peers and professors. Manchester is a community within itself where everyone supports everyone. I also like that I cannot walk from one building to the next without waving, smiling, or saying "hello" to someone else.
Never expected: I have broadened my horizons of the people I associate myself with. In high school, I was always with the same couple people as opposed to here I find myself spending time and getting to know people of all ages, races, and backgrounds.
I found: Acceptance. Manchester accepted me for who I was since the very first day. While advisors/professors guide you in the right direction, they still leave you room to make your own decisions and the professors support those decisions. The students also accept you for who you are, even if you do not hang out with the same people every weekend, your peers still accept you and will acknowledge you on campus or in town.
