Why attend MU: When I arrived for my first visit at MU, I immediately knew that I wanted to go to this school. I think that this campus just radiates warmth and friendliness. It is ripe with opportunities to experience a variety of things. I also loved the fact I was a human being; not a number or a name on a roster.

Favorite thing: My favorite thing about being a student is making new friends and meeting new people. I have learned so many new things from just talking to people that have impacted my way of viewing the world. In turn, knowing all of these people has helped to transfer MU from just a school to my new home.

Never expected: Oh, my! There are so many things that I have tried here that I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I went ice-skating. I was on the E-Board of a club and an organization. I was a student orientation leader. Overall, I have been more involved on campus than I ever expected to be. I am glad that I did though because it has helped me grow as an individual.

I found: At Manchester University, I found my niche. When I first came here, I felt lost and out of place. But slowly, I met people who coerced me lovingly into venturing outside my comfort zone. I am fairly confident that if those wonderful individuals hadn't pushed me into taking some of those leadership positions, I would have never found my place at MU. I feel completely at home here and I do not know what I will do when I graduate this spring.
