Name: Kacie Gauby
Home Town: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Major: Psychology
Grad Year: 2009
Why I decided
to attend MC:
It's a small school with a beautiful campus and loads of opportunities.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
I have the freedom and support to be the person I want to be.
I never expected:

I never expected to play an active role on campus. I've been involved in so many different organizations that I didn't think would coincide with all the work I have to do, but somehow I've been able to be a part of lots of great things while still accomplishing what I need to in the classroom.

At Manchester
College, I found:

Open doors. Whether it be involvement in a campus organization or studying overseas for a semester, Manchester has given me opportunities that I just wouldn't have experienced anywhere else.

Name: Nikki Glassley
Home Town: Westville, IN
Major: English Lit
Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:
My sister goes to Manchester, so I'd visited quite a few times and had decided I didn't want to go to the same school as my sister, but I came on Scholarship Day, anyway. The professors who interviewed me were so kind and amazing and the reception I received completely changed my mind.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
Short walking distance between classes! And all the opportunities to get involved and be a part of something bigger than oneself.
I never expected:

I never dreamed I would be elected the President of Cantabile, the Women's Auditioned Choir.

At Manchester
College, I found:
a new home.
Name: Heather Glick
Home Town: Topeka, IN
Major: Interdisiplinary - Advertising
Grad Year: 2011
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I decided to attend MC because of its small town feel. Topeka is a small town, so it was an easy step going to a small college.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
The close community that's here! There's always something to do and someone is always there to help you with homework or any problems you might be have!
I never expected:
At Manchester
College, I found:
me! Through classroom discussions and hall life I've been able to find out who the real me is and realize what I want from life!
Name: Britany Goodpaster
Home Town: Alexandria, IN
Major: Marketing / Management
Grad Year: 2009
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I decided to attend MC because of the interest they had in me. From day one, I received personalized letters, which really said a lot to me and my family.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
My favorite thing about being an MC student is getting to be around the awesome faculty and staff. It is also very easy to become involved and really stand out here at Manchester.
I never expected: I never expected to grow as independent as I have become. I thought I would rely on my mom and dad forever, and although they are still very importantl to me, I don't depend on them to do my laundry anymore or budget my money, although it is still nice to receive once in a while!
At Manchester
College, I found:

balance. This is a great place to learn, yet have fun and I feared that college was all work and no play. Not the case. The activities and annual events that take place remind us to have fun in our learning as well.

Name: Nyssa Gore
Home Town: Lafayette, IN, USA
Major: math education
Grad Year: 2009
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I wanted to go somewhere where I wouldn't just be a number. I really liked the small class sizes and small campus.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
I really like the relationship I have with my professors. They are alway here to help me and they really care.
I never expected: I never expected to be a leader in so many groups. I was shy in high school and hesitated before joining anything. Here I am really comfortable and do what I want.
At Manchester
College, I found:
my voice. In high school I was the one that was the quiet one in the class. When I came here, I slowly came out of my shell and now I'm more comfortable with myself and what I believe.
Name: Jeff Grabowski
Home Town: Fort Wayne, IN
Major: Biology
Grad Year:

2009

Why I decided
to attend MC:
MC had the right little niche that I wanted to join. The closness to Fort Wayne was a plus and it gave me the opportunity to play college basketball.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
I enjoy everything about being a student. I would rather be a student than work, especially at MC. Being able to walk next door in the dorm and socialize or say hi to someone you don't know on campus. It's friendly here and I believe that's a tradition.
I never expected: Become captain of the men's basketball and help lead a team to victory! Acquiring internships during the last two summers.
At Manchester
College, I found:
Adventure and Success....Everyday is different at MC, the people you talk to, the things you do, and the tasks you accomplish. The social scene is interesting and fun to go with. You will probably make the most friends in your life here at MC. Being able to see and talk to your professors everyday is a huge plus. Since receiving two internships in the last 2 years, I know that MC is a successful place to be.
Name: Anna Graham
Home Town: Fort Wayne, IN
Major: Spanish/Social Work
Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I decided to attend MC because I loved the idea of a small town school. As soon as I came to visit I fell in love with the campus, the small class sizes, and the people. I also like that is is only 40 mins from my home. Far enough that I am on my own but close enough that I can be home in less than an hour if I get homesick!
My favorite things
about Manchester:
I love the MAC events! Its a great time to hang out and get free stuff!
I never expected: I never expected to win Old School games! It was a blast! I also never expected to dance in a giant bathtub at the foam party!
At Manchester
College, I found:
confidence!! I have become more confortable with myself since coming to MC. It is a great place to be whoever you want to be!
Stephanie Green
Name: Stephanie Green
Home Town: Fort Wayne, IN, USA
Major: Choral Music Education
Grad Year: 2011
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I decided to come to Manchester because it was close to home but also because it was a small school. I love the small school atmosphere at MC.
My favorite things
about Manchester:

My favorite thing about being an MC student is getting to know not only the students but the professors as well. It has been great so far making friends with so many different backgrounds.

I never expected: I never expected to ride a mechanical bull and I did that during May Day weekend.
At Manchester
College, I found:
At Manchester College, I found a new home. I feel that I can be home at Manchester but also in my hometown of Fort Wayne. The faculty and students are welcoming and I feel accepted there for who I am not somebody I am not.
Name: Madi Gregory
Home Town: Bloomington, Indiana
Major: Communications
Grad Year: 2011
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I liked the small town/small college atmosphere and the distance from home.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
My favorite thing about MC is the comfort level it has provided. The students, staff, faculty, etc. ... everything seems to fit just right. I have also fallen in love with the xc and track program, the coaches and athletes have really helped shape the person I am becoming, and for that I am so grateful.
I never expected: I never thought I would throw a javelin or wade thigh-deep in a river in the dark to look for rocks in a biology experiment.
At Manchester
College, I found:

a second chance.

Name: Kyle Grubbs
Home Town: Muncie, IN
Major: Political Science / Spanish
Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:
First and foremost, they showed the most interest in me. That's what peaked my interest, but in the end, it was the small, beautiful campus and the feeling I got when I stepped on campus that influenced my decision to attend Manchester College.
My favorite things
about Manchester:

Just the all around experience. There are so many things to do and be a part of. It's been the best time so far.

I never expected: I never expected to be friends with people from so many different countries. I know for sure if I had gone to a different college, I would not have gotten the international and minority experience I have with Manchester.
At Manchester
College, I found:

Myself. I know that's cliche and everything, but it's true. In my case, I was a shy individual in high school. When I came to MC, I truly came into who I was supposed to be; a outgoing, fun-loving, hard-working individual.
