The professors are really great and I love that I can talk to them about any question or concerns I have. They really want you to succeed. I don't think I could have that kind of relationship with professors at a larger school. |

expected: |
I never expected to be the vice chair and one of the founding members of the College Republican's group here on campus. It has been a great way for me to meet many influential political figures from around the state and learn about politics first hand. |

I love being able to call any teacher at anytime to ask a question about an assignment. You never hear of this happening at the big campuses, but here it's like second nature.

I never expected to get the opportunity to travel abroad. My junior year I had the opportunity to travel to France to learn about their culture and this would have never happened without the guidance of my professors. |

I like being able to work with the profs when I'm having trouble. Just about all of them will work something out for you to get help. There are so many opportunites for help on homework including study groups, the success center, and tutoring. |

Well so far just making friends from other places is something that I didn't think I would do much of since I am a commuter student, but it is still easy to get involved in campus activities and make tons of friends. |

Originally, I thought I'd only be here for one year and then transfer out to a bigger school to play football. But now I realize that even though I can't play football anymore because of Crohn's disease, this school is the perfect fit for me.

I enjoy the freedom, it's a lot different than what it used to be like living at home. I also love the friends that I've made since I got on campus last year.

expected: |
Well, a lot of things I never expected to happen have happened, but the best thing has been my renewed interest in music. I'm never going to be a music major, but having a music major as a roommate has gotten me back into being interested in singing in a rock band again. It is helping me set new goals for myself.

One last chance. A lot of things didn't go right and a lot of dreams didn't come true, but in the end, when one door slams shut, another one opens. In this case, coming here for a great education was the new door that opened and I love it! |

I wanted to get out, and explore the country. I heard about Manchester through family in Ohio. So I decided to give it a visit. After my visit, I felt it was the place for me. Not only that, but they offered me awesome financial aid. |

My favorite thing about being an MC student is I feel comfortable here. I feel comfortable with the student, with the professors, with my classes, and just with the campus in general. It's my home away from home. |

Well, being from the west coast, I have been able to experience a lot of new things in this area. But, I have enjoyed exploring the midwest, visiting Chicago, Detriot, and other cities I have never been to. I also never expected to be genuinely excited to attend classes. But, a lot of my professors structure the courses so that classes are fun, entertaining, and productive, as well. |
