Why I decided to attend MC:	I decided to attend Manchester because they were one of the only schools that seemed like they really cared that I attended. They made me feel welcomed.
My favorite things about Manchester:	There are many things I like about Manchester. The thing I like the most is how friendly and fun the professors are. They really take the time to get to know you on a personal level and not just by some number.
I never expected:	Bird Catching and Banding. In one of my classes, we went out to Koinonia and set up bird nets and caught birds of all sorts. I held a Red Bellied Woodpecker to a Tuftedtit Mouse. Not only those but even a Hawk!
At Manchester College, I found:	a new home. Over my first year at Manchester I came to realize that I called my dorm my home and my friends became my family. I enjoy being around them all.

Why I decided to attend MC:	The class sizes and student/professor relationships were very appealing. There is no other school in this area where the professors will invite you into their home for a class around the dinner table.
My favorite things about Manchester:	I love being extremely active on campus because there is never a dull moment. Whether it's watching the political returns at a professor's house or dancing the night away in a pit full of bubbles, MC makes sure there is always something to do.
I never expected:	I never expected to participate in the Iowa Caucuses this past January. I was privileged enough to observe the political behavior. More so, I worked on a real political campaign and contributed on caucus night! It was an amazing experience.
At Manchester College, I found:	my niche.

Why I decided to attend MC:	Small college, not a lot of students and so students can talk to professors whenever they need to. Good music program.
My favorite things about Manchester:	My favorite thing about being an MC student is having an opportunity to get to know so many people with different backgrounds and experiences. Their experiences teach me a lot and help me understand who I am.
I never expected:	It's to sing in A Cappela Choir and have a chance to go to New York City and perform in Carnegie Hall. It was an amazing experience and i think it will stay with me for all my life.
At Manchester College, I found:	At Manchester College, I found friendship. Students, professors, staff members, they all became my friends and help me whenever I need help. They can just listen and not judge.

Why I decided to attend MC:	To get a degree in psychology, so I could become a counselor; and so I could practice therapy and help and understand people, deeply, on an interpersonal level.
My favorite things about Manchester:	If I had not come here I would never have made some of my closest friendships (though that could be said of almost anywhere one goes). But the level of interpersonal connection you get to have with the teachers, and the educational attention that you might not get elsewhere.
I never expected:	Play racquetball; seriously, i'm horrible at it!!! The no depth perception really isn't a plus to my inability to playing the game!!!
At Manchester College, I found:	At Manchester College, I found that my real passion was not is Psychology as I previously thought, but in Philosophy; and in the ability to understand the questions that science cannot answer, and the answers that confound us because they seem illogical... --also in there somewhere is a small passion for writing--

Why I decided to attend MC:	I loved the atmosphere that I felt when I visted my Senior year. I also loved how small and community oriented Manchester was.
My favorite things about Manchester:	My favorite thing about Manchester is the friends that I have made. I love the closeness I feel. Walking around outside, I know that the I will be able to say hi and know everyone I see.
I never expected:	I never thought that I would play any kind of sport at a college, but MC offers so many intramurals that I joined in and had fun!
At Manchester College, I found:	a second home. I have a great floor where everyone knows everyone and we all care about each other. I feel like the professors care so much about me when they seek me out to ask how things are going, that I feel like I am never alone.

Why I decided to attend MC:	I liked the campus, the small school atmosphere, location and professors
My favorite things about Manchester:	The professors. There was a class that I had problems in because I tested into a level that was too high for me. In most schools, I assume that they would not want to bother with it and just move me to a lower level. My professor never even mentioned that. Instead, she sat down with me and made a plan of how to get caught up. She worked with me outside of class anytime I needed her, usually at least few days a week. She was always willing to take the time to help, and talk about any other problems I had. She was always encouraging me to do well. I think that is a very unique characteristic of Manchester College.
I never expected:	I never expected to be friends with the type of people I am friends with now. The floor that I live on is so diverse, and each and every one of us are very close to each other.

My favorite things about Manchester:	Everyone is so close. There were a thousand more people in my high school than there are here and so you get to know everyone and it is like a big family.
I never expected:	to find so many opportunities in whatever I feel like doing, learning and being apart of.

Why I decided to attend MC:	I chose MC for many reasons, but the selling point was the people. I love how everyone at MC is so nice and welcoming. I knew that that MC was going to be my home away from home.
My favorite things about Manchester:	I love the fact that I am so involved. I have never been so involved in so many different clubs and organizations before. Its the best way to meet so many different people and give yourself a different view of other people's perspectives.
I never expected:	I never expected to get along and become friends with so many people. I have my close friends but that doesn't stop me from hanging out with so many different people.
At Manchester College, I found:	friendship. Not only have I made new best friends that I know will last a life time. I've made friends with people that have taught me so many new things that I could never learn without them.

Why I decided to attend MC:	I liked the small campus and how when I visited, everyone was so open and genuinely interested in me as a person. It made me feel I would be seen as someone rather than a number.
My favorite things about Manchester:	The sense of communtity that's present throughout campus. I like how I can't walk anywhere on campus without seeing someone I know.
I never expected:	I never expected to travel to Hawaii for two weeks as part of a Jan Term class or become a Resident Assistant.
At Manchester College, I found:	an opportunity to succeed. With as dedicated as the professors and staff are to students' success not only in college, but also after graduation, I know that after I leave I'll be ahead of the curve.

Why I decided to attend MC:	My senior year in high school I didn't know what I really wanted to do with my life but I was taking an Accounting class and one of my friends at work (Eric Williams) was going to attend MC to major in Accounting. Then I decided to check it out because I thought that I would like to make a career of Accounting but lo and behold I changed my major to Finance because I like it way more than Accounting.
My favorite things about Manchester:	I can meet many diverse people from around the world that I would not have normally met if I didn't attend MC.
I never expected:	I would like to work in the financial department of either a bank or nonprofit organization.
At Manchester College, I found:	At Manchester College, I found HOPE for the future in general, because I really sometimes am not sure about the future. Meaning will I get a great job and love it, where will I live when I graduate, there are many more but this is all for now.

Why I decided to attend MC:	I was really impressed by the English Department and the beautiful campus. I also appreciated the small class sizes.

At Manchester College, I found:	I found a home away from home. It was really weird at first going from an urban area like Louisville to an isolated rural community like North Manchester, but now I kind of like the dichotomy. Every school year is like a vacation.

My favorite things about Manchester:	My favorite thing about being an MC student is meeting and working with all of the wonderful people...faculty, staff, students, and alumni!
I never expected:	I never expected to be so involved on campus. Between classes, activities, clubs and sporting events my schedule is jam-packed with exciting things to do every day!
At Manchester College, I found:	At MC I found guidance. All of my business professors are amazing! I know if I ever have any problems or concerns about class work or my personal life, they would be there to listen and help in any way possible. It is a great feeling knowing I have an adult support system on campus.

Why I decided to attend MC:	I liked the small campus atmosphere, and everyone seemed willing and eager to help you out with any problems that you had. The football coaches here were exceptionally intense and willing to help you learn. Also the exercise science program was very strong as well.
My favorite things about Manchester:	Everybody here knows everybody. Just being able to hang out with my buddies and just be a normal college student and enjoy life. I love playing football here with my teammates, and at the same time getting a great education here as well.
I never expected:	I never thought about teaching until my sophmore year, but this last fall I had to teach 4-5 graders, and I really enjoyed it alot. And i never expected that to happen. I also never expected to be able to juggle the schedule or loads of classes also. While being here,Ive found and discovered alot of different interests, that will help me in my future goals.

My favorite things about Manchester:	I love the atmosphere of MC. You really feel part of a community and that people are cheering you on.

At Manchester College, I found:	At Manchester College, I found a wide variety of things to test my strength and character. Many issues have come up in my time at MC that have forced me to examine what I believe and explore things I never thought about before. This has forced me to grow in certain areas and learn to stand for what I believe to be truth.

Why I decided to attend MC:	I chose to attend Manchester for its size, because of how nice everyone was when I visited, and because the campus was beautiful. Once I decided to come here, Manchester reenforced my decision by offering me enough financial aid to make going to a private school possible.
My favorite things about Manchester:	All of the professors not only know my name, but they can pronounce it as well!
I never expected:	I never expected to become so involved in peace studies and the activities that go with it. I also write for the newspaper and the radio station.
At Manchester College, I found:	amazing friends: Living in a dorm requires a closeness with friends that was never available in high school. We rely on each other for things that we might have relyed on a family for at home, and as a result, my friends and I have become almost like a family ourselves.

Why I decided to attend MC:	Well, I decided to come to Manchester because it is a smaller college and it is very close to home!!! Even though I said it was a smaller college, it's still huge compared to my school, which I graduated with about 50 people in my class, that's is!!!
