Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:

I liked the campus and the size of the school.

My favorite things
about Manchester:

The class size and that I can have better relationships with my professors. I like being a name and not just a number compared to what it would be like at a big school.

I never expected:

I traveled to Washington D.C. for a three day convention. Also I am the Sports Director for the radio station. I do not know, if I would have gone to a bigger school, that I would have been able to have the same possibilities as I have at Manchester.

At Manchester
College, I found:
Friendship and myself.
Name: Ha Vu
Home Town: Hanoi, Vietnam
Major: Accounting and Finance
Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:
This is a long story, but you know there is a saying: "When your mind can't decide, let your heart do it." I chose in that situation =)
My favorite things
about Manchester:
My friends have been the most valuable gift that I am lucky enough to have here and in my long life. I am thankful for having them! =)
I never expected: I eat more! JK! I guess meeting and making African friends and being happy that some of them are my heros, my mirror, and my strength to keep working and living hard and fully. =)
At Manchester
College, I found:
At Manchester, I found my best self and I found friends for life.
Name: Kayla Werbianskyj
Home Town: Elkhart, IN, USA
Major:

Biology/Environmental Studies

Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I have played soccer my entire life and I wanted to continue in college. When the coaches continued to express their interest I decided to play here. Also, the financial aid was really good.
My favorite things
about Manchester:

I love being able to play soccer here.

I never expected: Identifying fish! :) I have an internship this summer with Professor Sweeten on campus as a Watershed Technician.
At Manchester
College, I found:
science! :) I was always interested in science but I never really thought I could make a career out of it. The great thing about Manchester is the opportunities for research. The experience here is not offered by many other undergraduate programs. The professors here really get you motivated and excited about anything and everything within your field.
Name: Che Wiechart
Home Town: Garrett, Indiana
Major: Communications
Grad Year: 2015
Why I decided
to attend MC:

Manchester was my top pick in the beginning. I knew I wanted to go here as soon as I went on my first college visit. The campus was in such small town and I loved that aspect of it. Manchester quickly became home for me.

My favorite things
about Manchester:
My favorite thing about being a student at Manchester is the fact we are able to get the help we need in order to obtain a wonderful future. The people here are here to mold us into the people of the future. They overall want us to succeed and give us the tools needed to do so.
I never expected: I never expected to succeed as much as I have, go to bonfires at my professor's houses, attended VIA's (and enjoy them), meet people from different countries, be a part of mock trial, find some of my best friends, be a part of a learning community, and so much more.
At Manchester
College, I found:
a passion to succeed.
Name: Kristen Wilhite
Home Town: Crawfordsville, In
Major: History
Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:

I attended MC because my dad wanted me to go. I couldn't make up my mind between two colleges. The atmosphere and the people on campus were very friendly when I came to visit. I loved the small town feeling as well.

My favorite things
about Manchester:
My favorite thing is that I have a relationship with my professors that is not just about school. You get to know your professors and their lives as well as them knowing yours. Most of them are even on Facebook!
I never expected:

I didn't expect all of the opportunities that I have found. I have been able to study abroad during Jan term twice, I have found my home and great friends. I got to start my own photography studio and my pictures are even in the football office and on the Oak Leaves (newspaper for MC)!

At Manchester
College, I found:
Love! I found my fiancé when I was a freshman at Manchester College. I never expected to find that special someone while making a better future for myself!
Name: Robyn Woeste
Home Town: Vevay, Indiana
Major: History
Grad Year: 2012
Why I decided
to attend MC:
I really wanted a small school and once I visited Manchester and saw how friendly everyone was and how pretty the campus is, I knew that I wanted to go here.
My favorite things
about Manchester:
The atmosphere. The professors are great, they really care and want to help. I also love the friends that I've made.
I never expected:

I never expected to be as involved in the organizations as I am. I'm a part of many diverse organizations such as the History Club, Hispanos Unidos, Black Student Union, and many more.

At Manchester
College, I found:

Change. I never expected to be doing the things that I do here or to have the friends that I do. I've changed a lot since coming to Manchester.

Name:

Chris Woodard

Why I decided
to attend MC:

I decided to go to MC because of its small campus and warm caring community. I love how the professors get to know you and how they are willing to spend so much time helping you.

My favorite things
about Manchester:

My favorite thing about being an MC student has to be that there are such small classes and that campus is the perfect size for me.

I never expected: I never expected to be involved in so many things such as organizations and being a SOL. It is amazing. I also am planning on studying abroad in India and I cannot wait for that experience to arrive.
At Manchester
College, I found:
At Manchester College I found people who care. There are so many people that care about you on campus. The professors care, the people in the success center, all the great friends you meet, your advisor, and so many more people. It feels like everyone becomes family.
