MC Alumni Association offers Christmas
shopping trip to Chicago
Again this December, the Manchester College Alumni
Association is hosting a hassle-free, drive-free Christmas shopping trip
to Chicago. The bus leaves the College Union in North Manchester at 7:30
a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and returns that evening. The round-trip cost
$40.
“This is a great way to beat interstate traffic and save
yourself from spending a small fortune in gas,” says Alumni Director
Gary Montel. The association offered a similar trip in December 2004.
Shoppers may leave their vehicles in the College parking lot
for the day. Upon arrival in Chicago, the bus will stop at Water Tower
Place and Marshall Field’s. Midway through the afternoon, the bus will
shuttle shoppers between the two drop-off points. Shoppers are on their
own for the day, including for lunch. They will leave Chicago at 5 p.m.
