Scholars in wide range of majors

find their place on 2009 Fall Dean's List

The fall 2009 Dean’s List at Manchester College heralds 286 students, including 82 first-year students, 64 sophomores, 56 juniors and 84 seniors.

Well more than a third of the honors went to students majoring in accounting, biology-chemistry and education. But the full spectrum of majors offered at the 1,223-student liberal arts College is represented on the Dean’s List: from sociology, French, history and communication studies to athletic training, computer science, Spanish, peace studies, art, English and religion.

The honors went to students who earned a 3.5 GPA or higher during the fall 2009 semester while
enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of classes, said Registrar Lila Hammer.
