Manchester’s choirs combine
for An Autumn Celebration!
Three Manchester College choirs will present An Autumn Celebration! on
Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4 in Wine Recital Hall.
The all-women Cantabile, the Chamber Singers and the A Cappella Choir
will perform separate programs and then unite for a finale from the
musical Man of La Mancha. Alan Chambers will conduct the smaller
choirs; Debra Lynn will conduct the A Cappella Choir.
Tickets are $5 at the door for the 7:30 performances.
Concert-goers are invited to a “Confectionary Prelude” – a dessert sale
and service auction to benefit the A Cappella Choir’s residency and
performance in May 2007 in Carnegie Hall in New York City. The event
begins at 6 p.m. in Link Gallery, adjacent to the recital hall. Services
up for bids range from babysitting to housekeeping and singing
telegrams.
