Hutchings of Wabash will conduct the Manchester College Chamber Singers and instrumental musicians through a multilingual “History of Western Music” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. The free recital is in Wine Recital Hall, on the east side of the North Manchester campus.

Hutchings, who also plays the piano and harpsichord, plans to pursue a master’s and doctorate of musical arts in choral conducting upon graduation this spring from Manchester College. He has not chosen a graduate school. His name is frequently on the Dean’s List, is listed in 2005 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and he traveled with the College’s A Cappella Choir to perform in the Vatican and cathedrals of Italy in 2004.  Hutchings resides in Wabash with his wife and two children.
