Manchester College students seeking
used,
new children’s books for Akron book
drive
Area residents and teachers are urged to donate new and used children’s
books for redistribution to children in the Akron community. The
Manchester College branch of the Indiana Reading Corps is conducting the
book drive during April, with four Akron collection sites.
College students in the Indiana Reading Corps – the largest children’s
literacy organization in the state – have been tutoring children in
reading at Akron Elementary School for seven years. They plan to return
children’s books collected in the book drive to the community. For more
information about the drive, contact Jennifer
Wilson, MC Indiana Reading Coordinator, at 260-982-5084.
