College’s Symphonic Band presents
“Musical Portraits” April 20
Manchester College Symphonic Band, under the direction of Suzanne
Gindin, will present “Musical Portraits” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April
20 in Cordier Auditorium. The public is invited to the concert; tickets
are $3 at the door.
The 23-member band will perform His Honor by Henry Fillmore,
Little English Suite by Clare Grundman, Solitary Dancer by
Warren Benson and Scenes from the Louvre by Normal Dello Joio.
Also on the program: If Thou Be Near by J.S. Bach, October
by Eric Whitacre and The Cowboys by John Williams.
Gindin, who also conducts the Manchester Symphony Orchestra, is an
assistant professor of music at the College.
