Students will find at least 30 choices
at the Wabash County College Fair
Area high school students can learn about at least
30 colleges and universities at the 2004 Wabash County College Fair on
Tuesday, Sept. 28 in Wabash, Ind. The free fair sponsored by Manchester
College runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in The Honeywell Center, 275 W. Market
St. in Wabash.
The college fair will be preceded by a 6 p.m.
session, "Preparing for the new SAT," that will cover SAT changes
coming in March 2005, and will help students learn how to prepare for
the new writing section. Bruce Lindvall of the College Board will be
presenting and will have a table at the fair to answer questions and
hand out study materials from the College Board.
The fair attracts representatives from many
colleges, universities and technical schools. Expected this fall are:
Anderson University, Baker College, Ball State University, Franklin
College, Grace College, Huntington College, Indiana State University,
Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, Indiana
University/Kokomo, Indiana Wesleyan University, ITT Technical Institute,
Ivy Tech State College, Manchester College, Marian College, Ohio
Northern University, Olivet Nazarene University, Purdue School of
Technology, Purdue University, Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College, Saint
Mary's College, St. Joseph's College, Taylor University/Fort Wayne,
Taylor University/Upland, Tri-State University, University of
Evansville, University of Indianapolis, University of Saint Francis,
University of Southern Indiana, Valparaiso University and Vincennes
University. Other colleges may join the event.
At the Wabash County College Fair, prospective
college students can gather information about areas of study, financial
aid, admission requirements, athletics, extracurricular activities and
scholarships. High school students from Grant, Huntington, Kosciusko,
Miami, Wabash and Whitley counties are especially encouraged to attend
this fair, which is for any interested student.
