Warsaw teens
join College women for choral
workshop, concert
Monday, March 12
Warsaw High School voices will join
Manchester College’s for a workshop and concert of women’s choral music
on Monday, March 12. The public is invited to the free performance at
7:30 p.m. in Wine Recital at the College.
The 20-voice Intermediate Women's Chorus of
Warsaw Community High School, conducted by Scott Avery and accompanied
by Deb Bishop will perform first. Then, the College’s Cantabile women’s
choir will perform, joined for two songs by the A Cappella Choir women,
conducted by Alan Chambers and accompanied by Michael Good.
The concert will close with all choirs
performing under the baton of Dr. Debra J. Lynn, Manchester College
director of choral organizations and voice.
The A Cappella Choir in May heads for an
encore performance at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York City. The
choir, directed by Dr. Lynn, also has performed in the Vatican and
cathedrals in Italy. |
