Manchester College treats community
to a
special tour of its Science Center
Neighbors of Manchester College are invited to bring their families and
friends to a special community open house and tours of the $17 million
Science Center – without the big crowds, bustle and formalities of the
dedication ceremony.
A community open house on Sunday afternoon, September 18 offers a
relaxed, informal opportunity for families to examine the spectacular
Physicians Atrium artwork and check out the laboratories and classrooms.
Student members of the American Chemical Society will lead 45-minute
tours of the three-story facility.
No program is planned for this casual 1 to 3 p.m. open house just for
the community. Light refreshments will be served.
Hundreds of area residents plan to attend the formal Science Center
dedication and symposium on Friday, Sept. 16, and undoubtedly will want
to share what they saw with their families.
“This is the perfect opportunity,” said President Jo Young Switzer. “We
want all of our neighbors to see the exciting opportunities at
Manchester College.”
