Jazz musician
Scott Kirby cancels
Manchester
College
performance
NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. (Feb. 10, 2004) - Jazz
pianist/composer Scott Kirby has canceled his Sunday, Feb. 29
performance at Manchester College. Kirby recently returned from a
six-week tour in poor health and has been advised to take a break to
recuperate, said Jeri S. Kornegay, director of public relations at the
college in North Manchester.
The artist - known for his Scott Joplin works, but
also accomplished in blues, ragtime and Creole music - promises to
reschedule his Manchester College performances and lectures. "However,
it's possible he may not come this semester," Kornegay said. |
