Manchester seminar: Women, tap your

leadership potential to influence change

Women are ascending to leadership positions at a dramatic pace. A Manchester University seminar will explore the challenges women leaders face and the many ways they influence social change in their communities.

The public is invited to the Wednesday, Sept. 12 event on MU's College of Pharmacy campus in north Fort Wayne. “Women in Leadership” assembles a panel of four successful area women for the seminar:

    • Sue Ehinger, president of Parkview Regional Medical Center & Affiliates
    • Heather Herron, news anchor for WANE-TV
    • Wendy Robinson, superintendent of Fort Wayne Community Schools
    • Lisa Updike, associate with Barnes & Thornburg LLP, a Manchester graduate and a 2010 "40 under 40" of Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly

“All four women have compelling stories and will explore how they cultivated their leadership instincts,” said Eve Colchin, director of development and women’s philanthropy for Manchester University. “Our panelists use their extensive skills for the common good. They’ll inspire us to tap the leadership potential in ourselves and, in turn, create stronger communities.”

The event begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 1:30 p.m. The $10 registration fee includes lunch. Pre-registration is required, online at www.manchester.edu/WomeninLeadership or call 260-982-5218.

The program is sponsored by The Jo Young Switzer Fund, supported by women philanthropists. The Manchester University College of Pharmacy is at Dupont and Diebold roads, just east of Interstate 69.
