Monday, March 10:
A one-page abstract of the student presentation and a copy of the
student resume should come from students with mentor signature to
the Office of Academic Affairs (email to
KSMeyer@manchester.edu)

Sample abstracts are listed to the right of this announcement

Friday, March 14: Presenters will be notified of their selection.
¨
Monday, March 24: Three copies of the full paper, condensed version of abstract and
indication of your desire to be considered for the Jo Young Switzer
award are needed in the Office of Academic Affairs by noon.
DETAILS
Ø Students
may present analysis papers, original research, creative
performance, or creative work.
Ø
Students who have presented their work in other settings such as
departmental meetings, classes, divisional seminars, recitals, art
shows, regional and national honors conferences, may submit
modified presentations for this program.
Ø
The abstract should be a summary of your paper, not more than 1 page
in length and should include the following: (A form has been
attached for your convenience)
-Name of presenter
-Title of paper
-Mentor
Ø
All participants will receive written feedback from faculty
evaluators and a gift certificate to the Manchester College Campus
Store.
Ø
Two participants will receive the Jo Young Switzer Award, which is
given to the participants with the best written papers. Please see
the attached document to the right regarding rules and rubric.
STUDENTS MUST INDICATE THE DESIRE TO HAVE THEIR PAPER CONSIDERED FOR
THIS AWARD.
Ø
Presentations should last no more than 18 minutes, with 5 additional
minutes allowed for audience questions.
