Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year

Each year at the Homecoming football game, this award is presented to an M Association member who, by his or her achievements and contributions in athletic coaching, brings honor to our university and the memory of Coach Wolfe. The award can be based either on outstanding success in the past year or on accomplishments over the course of a several-year career.

Selection is made by Association officers from nominations by the membership, which includes all past "M" letter winners. Nominations must be received before Dec. 31.

Scott Kreiger '88  is the 2013 Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year. Kreiger's coaching prowess in the area is nearly legend-status, having guided Canterbury High School to four Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 1A girls state basketball championships since 2007-08, as well as 10 sectional, six regional and four semi-state titles in his career. Kreiger moved over to the boys' basketball program last winter with impressive results, as Canterbury claimed the sectional championship.
