of North Manchester, professor emeritus of biology for
Manchester College, former president of the Indiana
Academy of Science and a College and community
historian. Dr. Eberly founded and led the
Environmental Studies program at the College. He
served as Annual Conference moderator and secretary
for the Church of the Brethren. He was 84.

of North Manchester, professor emeritus of biology for
Manchester College and a member of the Indiana
Academy of Science. He taught future scientists,
teachers, lab technicians, physicians and dentists for 32 years, from 1950 to 1982. With a recent endowment,
the College dedicated the Dr. R. Emerson & Evelyn
Niswander Biology Department. He was 97.
