Academic Center (Holl-Kintner) Much like the recent Science Center and Union construction projects, Manchester College plans to update the former Holl-Kintner science building with new classrooms and faculty offices for six departments: Accounting and Business, Communications, Economics, Education, Modern Languages, and Religion and Philosophy. When it’s completed, the new Academic Center (Holl-Kintner) will be home for the academic majors of more than half of Manchester’s students. Nearly 400 current students compete on Manchester’s 17 intercollegiate teams. Gifts to the athletic program help pay for team trips, and the purchase and maintenance of equipment. Commemorative Tree Program Giving a tree is a unique way to celebrate, honor and memorialize a special individual or event, while adding long-lasting aesthetic and environmental benefit to the Manchester College community. For $500, a tree will be planted on campus based on current landscaping needs. Though the trees have no personal identification, a brief inscription selected by the donor will be engraved on a life-size wall sculpture on the second floor of the College Union.
