Academic Center (Holl-Kintner)

Constructed in 1959 to honor treasured professors Carl W. Holl ’16 (chemistry) and Edward Kintner ’12 (biology), Holl-Kinter Hall served Manchester’s natural sciences program for many years. Now, with the new Science Center complete, the Academic Center (Holl-Kintner) is being called upon to serve another need—as a modern, handicapped-accessible academic center with classrooms, faculty offices, and study and lounge areas.
When complete, the retrofitted building will be the home for six departments representing the majors of more than half of Manchester’s students: Accounting and Business, Education, Economics, Religion and Philosophy, Communication Studies, and Modern Languages.
Also, as Manchester becomes an increasingly popular hub for local and regional conferences, an improved Holl-Kintner will provide meeting space in a prominent campus location convenient to the College Union and parking areas.
