Koinonia Environmental and Retreat Center


Owned and operated by Manchester University, Koinonia is located approximately 12 miles north of North Manchester or just south of Pierceton in Kosciusko County, Indiana.

Koinonia (Coin'-o-nee-ah) Environmental and Retreat Center, which is owned and operated by Manchester University, measures around 100 acres.   Koinonia is ecologically diverse, consisting of hardwood and pine forests, a five acre kettle lake surrounded by a large wetland complex with a walkway and observation decks, and a restored prairie. Recent additions include a "Talking Rocks and Mineral Resources Trail" and an outdoor classroom.

Retreat Facility - air-conditioned on the lower level of the two-story building pictured below:

  • Two dormitory areas (16 bunk beds in each area)
  • Restrooms with showers
  • A furnished kitchen area
  • Living/dining room area with stone fireplace
  • Small conference room
  • Multiple outdoor meeting areas
  • Fire pit and grill for cookouts

The retreat facility is a beautifully picturesque setting that is ideal for group retreats, outings, reunions, workshops, and meetings.
