Tuesday, April 8: Community Dinner, 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Transportation provided.  Help with serving and conversations! Sign up for this event at the CSO office. Contact OVS@manchester.edu

Wednesday, April 9: Help is needed with local shopping with seniors at Peabody, 1:30 pm. For more information contact OVS@manchester.edu

Thursday, April 10: Happy Hour at Peabody, 4:00-5:00pm.  Games, puzzles, and great conversations.  Sign up for this event at the CSO office. Contact OVS@manchester.edu if interested. 

Friday, April 11: Baking Club: Lemon Muffins at Peabody, 2:30 pm. For more information contact OVS@manchester.edu.

Saturday, April 12: Manicures with seniors at Peabody, 9:30 am. For more information contact OVS@manchester.edu.

April 12 and 13: Volunteers are needed to assist international students, faculty, staff and alumni cooking for the International Fair. Various times are available, if interested please contact OMA@manchester.edu for more information.

Saturday, April 19: Volunteers are needed to help with the Bunny Bash from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The volunteers will help with children’s art projects as well as help assist taking pictures with the Easter bunny. Saturday, April 26: Volunteer at the Animal Welfare from 10am – 4pm. Sign up at the front desk at the Animal Welfare League in Pierceton, IN. For more info email: rsullivan7@ivytech.edu. Free T Shirts for Volunteering!

Saturday, April 26: Tulip Festival at Peabody. Help with the activities all day. This is a fun event with music, food and venders. For information contact: OVS@manchester.edu

We’re looking for a friendly student (preferably a young man) that would be willing to visit two elderly, listen to what they are trying to accomplish and then assist. They have a computer used for e-mail, word processing and some Internet. From time to time, things stop working, or settings get changed, etc. The immediate needs are:

  • Programming the GPS in their new car
  • Programming the radio (including Sirius) in their new car
  • Programming the garage door opener with the car

Children’s Attendant @ Family Classes
Wednesdays thru April 30, 2014
5:25 - 7:30 p.m.
Greater Chris Temple Church, 2940 S. Anthony Blvd.
Engage children, ages 6 and under, in activities and play games with them while parents attend educational programs presented by the Strengthening Families Program.
